Pyra Boss Guide - Fire Titan Strategy

How to defeat Pyra, the Fire Titan, in Anvil Quest. Covers the DPS check mechanics, enrage timer, and the three loadouts that consistently clear her.

2026/8/8 最終更新: 2026/8/10 English fallback

Pyra is the first real DPS check in Anvil Quest. She has a strict 4-minute enrage timer, and if you don’t burn through her 18,000 HP fast enough, the arena fills with unavoidable fire and the run ends.

You need an average of 75 DPS to clear the enrage. Most undergeared players sit around 50–60 DPS, which is why this fight gates progression into Act 3.

The DPS Check

Pyra is the only boss in the game with a hard enrage timer — every other boss can be outlasted. This means defensive builds that work elsewhere fail here. You must optimize for damage.

Minimum DPS benchmarks (solo, no buffs):

  • Warrior (Crit build): 70 DPS — just barely passes
  • Mage (Ice spec): 90 DPS — comfortable
  • Rogue (Backstab): 110 DPS — fastest clears
  • Cleric: 40 DPS — will fail enrage solo, requires a duo

Mechanics

Meteor Shower

Every 30 seconds, Pyra marks three spots on the ground. After 2 seconds, meteors land on those spots, leaving fire puddles that persist for 20 seconds.

Counter: The arena is large enough for 6 puddles before space gets tight. Position so meteors land near the edges, not the center, to preserve your safe zone.

Flame Whip (frontal cone)

Pyra winds up for 1.2 seconds, then attacks in a 180° cone in front of her. Deals 600 damage and applies a burn that ticks for 80/second for 5 seconds.

Counter: She always faces her current aggro target. If you’re melee, stand at her side or back — never front. Ranged players should never get hit by this.

Enrage (4:00)

At the 4-minute mark, Pyra casts Inferno: the entire arena ignites, ticking 200 damage/second to everyone. This is not survivable.

Counter: There is none. Kill her before 4:00.

  • Weapon: Frostpike Staff
  • Armor: Glacial Robe (+30 ice damage)
  • Skills: Ice Lance (spam), Frost Nova (break aggro)
  • Potion: Greater Intellect Elixir

This is the most consistent Pyra kill. Ice Lance out-ranges her Flame Whip, and Frost Nova dumps aggro if she turns on you.

Rogue (Backstab)

  • Weapon: Shadowfang Daggers
  • Armor: Crit set (aim for 60% crit chance)
  • Skills: Backstab, Shadowstep, Poison Vial
  • Potion: Haste Potion

Rogue clears Pyra fastest (~2:30) but requires practiced positioning. Shadowstep behind her during every Flame Whip wind-up for free backstabs.

Warrior (Crit)

  • Weapon: Stormcaller Greatsword
  • Armor: Crimson Plate (fire resist)
  • Skills: Whirlwind, Battle Cry, Shield Wall
  • Potion: Greater Strength

The safest loadout if you can hit the DPS threshold. Shield Wall lets you tank one Flame Whip per minute as a panic button.

Common Mistakes

  • Bringing a fire weapon. Emberclaw is great for Gelum but Pyra is fire-resistant. Bring Frostpike or Stormcaller instead.
  • Ignoring meteor positioning. Letting puddles spawn in the center shrinks your safe zone and forces you into her Whip cone.
  • Popping potions too early. Wait until Phase 2 (50% HP) to use your elixir — the buff lasts 60 seconds and you want it overlapping enrage push.

TL;DR

Pyra is a 4-minute DPS check. Bring an ice weapon, position meteors to the edges, never stand in front of her. Mage (Ice spec) is the most reliable kill.
