Anvil Quest Weapon Tier List - Best Weapons Ranked

Complete Anvil Quest weapon tier list ranking every weapon from S to C. Updated for the current patch with DPS benchmarks, synergy notes, and craft requirements.

8/6/2026 Last updated: 8/11/2026

This tier list ranks every weapon in Anvil Quest based on sustained DPS, burst potential, utility, and how well each weapon synergizes with the current meta. Rankings assume endgame builds with optimized stats.

Tier Explanations

  • S tier — Best-in-slot. Craft these as soon as you can.
  • A tier — Strong and viable for all content. Slight weaknesses keep them out of S.
  • B tier — Solid mid-tier weapons. Good while progressing, replaced by S/A eventually.
  • C tier — Starter or situational weapons. Fine early, do not invest heavily.

S Tier

Voidforge Blade

The current meta weapon for Warriors. Unique passive: every 4th hit deals 300% damage. With the Crit build’s attack speed, the 4th hit procs constantly.

  • Class: Warrior
  • DPS: 145 (with full buffs)
  • Source: Craft (Voidking drop + 50 Inferno Gems)

Stormcaller

The strongest Mage staff. Storm Bolt chains to 3 targets and applies a shock debuff that increases all damage by 15% for 8 seconds.

  • Class: Mage
  • DPS: 135
  • Source: Craft (Pyra pattern drop)

A Tier

Emberclaw

The best early-to-mid game weapon for Warriors. Fire damage melts ice bosses (Gelum, early Act 1), but falls off in Act 3 where fire-resistant enemies appear.

  • Class: Warrior
  • DPS: 110
  • Source: Craft (Gelum drop)

Frostpike Staff

Mage’s ice-spec staff. Lower raw DPS than Stormcaller but the freeze utility trivializes several bosses. Recommended as your first crafted weapon.

  • Class: Mage
  • DPS: 90 (115 vs ice-weak)
  • Source: Craft (5 Glacial Gems)

Shadowfang Daggers

Rogue’s backstab build weapon. Highest burst in the game (220 DPS during backstab windows) but requires practiced positioning.

  • Class: Rogue
  • DPS: 110 average, 220 burst
  • Source: Quest reward (Thieves’ Guild questline)

B Tier

Ironwood Bow

Solid ranged option for Rogues who prefer a safer playstyle. Lower ceiling than Shadowfang but much more forgiving.

  • Class: Rogue
  • DPS: 85
  • Source: Craft (Oakwood Vale patterns)

Mace of Dawn

Cleric’s best offensive weapon. Damage is mediocre but the +15% healing modifier makes it best-in-slot for support Clerics.

  • Class: Cleric
  • DPS: 60
  • Source: Craft (Sunforge patterns)

Crimson Greatsword

A defensive Warrior weapon. Lower DPS than Emberclaw but the +40 fire resist makes Pyra progression much smoother.

  • Class: Warrior
  • DPS: 80
  • Source: Craft (Emberfall Crater patterns)

C Tier

Copper Sword

Your first crafted weapon. Free during the tutorial. Replace it at level 8.

  • Class: All
  • DPS: 35
  • Source: Tutorial quest

Rusty Iron Sword

The starter weapon. Do not upgrade or enchant this.

  • Class: All
  • DPS: 20
  • Source: Character creation

Apprentice Wand

Mage starter weapon. Replace with Frostpike Staff as soon as you have 5 Glacial Gems.

  • Class: Mage
  • DPS: 25
  • Source: Tutorial quest

How We Calculated These Rankings

DPS numbers come from a controlled test environment: level 50 dummy, optimized endgame stats, no buffs except class-native skills. Real-world DPS varies with fight mechanics — burst weapons rank higher than their sustained DPS suggests because Anvil Quest bosses have vulnerable windows where burst matters most.

We re-test every patch. If a weapon gets buffed or nerfed, expect this list to move within 48 hours of the patch notes.

TL;DR

  • Warrior: Voidforge Blade (S) > Emberclaw (A) > Crimson Greatsword (B)
  • Mage: Stormcaller (S) > Frostpike Staff (A)
  • Rogue: Shadowfang Daggers (A) > Ironwood Bow (B)
  • Cleric: Mace of Dawn (B)

Don’t waste crafting materials on C-tier weapons. Save them for your first S-tier craft.
